Gene targeting strategy for B-hF2RL1 mice. The exons 1~2 of mouse F2rl1 gene that encode the full-length protein were replaced by human F2RL1 exons 1~2 in B-hF2RL1 mice.

Strain specific analysis of F2RL1 mRNA expression in wild-type C57BL/6 mice and B-hF2RL1 mice by RT-PCR. Kidney RNA were isolated from wild-type C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hF2RL1 mice (H/H), then cDNA libraries were synthesized by reverse transcription, followed by PCR with mouse or human F2RL1 primers. Mouse F2rl1 mRNA was detectable only in wild-type C57BL/6 mice. Human F2RL1 mRNA was detectable only in homozygous B-hF2RL1 mice but not in wild-type mice.
