      Description

IL26 belongs to the IL10 cytokine family, produced by a variety of cells, such as T cells, NK cells, alveolar macrophages, bronchial epithelial cells and many other cells. Th17 cells are the main source of IL26, and responsible in natural immunity as well as the development of inflammatory diseases. It is possible to directly use the transgenic mice to induce and establish inflammatory models, such as RA and psoriasis, to provide pre-clinical efficacy evaluation.

mRNA expression analysis in humanized B-hIL26 mice
Strain specific analysis of IL26 mRNA expression in wild-type C57BL/6 mice and B-hIL26 mice by RT-PCR. Colon RNA were isolated from wild-type C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hIL26 mice (H/H), then cDNA libraries were synthesized by reverse transcription, followed by PCR with human IL26 primers. Human IL26 mRNA was only detectable in homozygous B-hIL26 mice.
