      Gene targeting strategy for B-hITGA2 mice. The exons 2~29 of mouse Itga2 gene that encode the extracellular domain of ITGA2 protein were replaced by human ITGA2 exons 2~29 in B-hITGA2 mice.

      Experimental results

      Strain specific ITGA2 expression analysis in homozygous B-hITGA2 mice by flow cytometry. Splenocytes were collected from wild-type C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hITGA2 mice (H/H), and analyzed by flow cytometry with species-specific anti-ITGA2 antibody. mITGA2 was not detectable in T cells of wild-type mice, while hITGA2 was not detectable in T cells of homozygous mice.

      Strain specific ITGA2 expression analysis in homozygous B-hITGA2 mice by flow cytometry. Splenocytes were collected from wild-type C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hITGA2 mice (H/H), and analyzed by flow cytometry with species-specific anti-ITGA2 antibody. mITGA2 was not detectable in B cells of wild-type mice, while hITGA2 was not detectable in B cells of homozygous mice.
