Strain specific ANPEP expression analysis in wild-type C57BL/6 and homozygous B-hANPEP mice by flow cytometry. Splenocytes were collected from wild-type C57BL/6 (+/+) and homozygous B-hANPEP mice (H/H) and analyzed by flow cytometry with species-specific anti-ANPEP antibody. mANPEP was detectable in DCs of wild-type mice. hANPEP was detectable in DCs of homozygous B-hANPEP mice.

mRNA expression analysis
Strain specific analysis of ANPEP mRNA expression in wild-type C57BL/6 mice and B-hANPEP mice by RT-PCR. Spleen RNA were isolated from wild-type C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hANPEP mice (H/H), then cDNA libraries were synthesized by reverse transcription, followed by PCR with mouse or human ANPEP primers. Mouse Anpep mRNA was detectable only in wild-type C57BL/6 mice. Human ANPEP mRNA was detectable only in homozygous B-hANPEP mice but not in wild-type mice.
