Gene targeting strategy for B-hAREG mice. The exons 2~4 of mouse Areg gene were replaced by human AREG exons 2~4 in B-hAREG mice.

Western blot analysis of AREG protein expression in homozygous B-hAREG mice. Various tissue lysates were collected from wild-type C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hAREG mice (H/H), and then analyzed by western blot with anti-AREG antibody. 30μg total proteins were loaded for western blotting analysis. AREG protein was detected in the testis, brain, lung, stomach of wild-type C57BL/6 mice and homozygous B-hAREG mice, as the antibody is cross-recognize both human and mouse AREG.
