Gene targeting strategy for B-hITGB7 mice. The exons 2-14 of mouse Itgb7 gene that encode the extracellular domain were replaced by human ITGB7 exons 3-15 in B-hITGB7 mice.

Strain specific ITGB7 expression analysis in heterozygous B-ITGB7 mice by flow cytometry. Splenocytes were collected from wild-type C57BL/6 mice and heterozygous B-hITGB7 mice (H/+), and analyzed by flow cytometry with species-specific anti-ITGB7 antibody. Mouse ITGB7 was detectable in wild-type mice and heterozygous B-hITGB7 mice (H/+). Human ITGB7 was exclusively detectable in heterozygous B-ITGB7 mice but not in wild-type mice.
