      Description
      • SERPINF2 is a serine protease inhibitor responsible for inactivating plasmin
      • Decreased of SERPINF2 in liver cirrhosis leads to decreased inactivation of plasmin and an increase in fibrinolysis
      • The exons 2-10 of mouse Serpinf2 gene that encodes the full-length protein were replaced by human SERPINF2 exons 2-10 in B-hSERPINF2 mice.
      • hSERPINF2 protein was detected in the plasma of homozygous B-hSERPINF2 mice
      Targeting strategy

Gene targeting strategy for B-hSERPINF2 mice. The exons 2-10 of mouse Serpinf2 gene that encodes the full-length protein were replaced by human SERPINF2 exons 2-10 in B-hSERPINF2 mice.

      Protein expression analysis
Strain specific analysis of SERPINF2 mRNA expression in wild-type C57BL/6 mice and B-hSERPINF2 mice by RT-PCR. Liver RNA was isolated from wildtype C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hSERPINF2 mice (H/H), then cDNA libraries were synthesized by reverse transcription, followed by PCR with mouse or human SERPINF2 primers. Mouse Serpinf2 mRNA was detectable in wild-type C57BL/6 mice. Human SERPINF2 mRNA was detectable only in homozygous B-hSERPINF2 mice but not in wild-type mice.
